The Edit: Fall Transitional Jackets
the best in every category (suede, denim, trench, leather, barn, etc)
Happy Sunday! It’s been a crazy week — anyone else feeling this? Work has been non-stop. I’ve been prepping for a bunch of meetings and an event in LA next week (I’m going for a total of 56 hours, which will be rough), and on top of that, I turn 32 on Monday (which I can’t even believe).

Total transparency, I’m feeling completely braindead, so writing (amongst other things) feels incredibly daunting (bear with me on this one). Thankfully, online shopping apparently is helping heal whatever wave of burnout I’m experiencing, so I’m taking full advantage.
If there’s one topic I keep seeing everywhere, it’s jackets. I think we can all admit, the weather is weird right now — it’s still kind of hot, but also chilly — not quite warm enough to go jacket-less and not quite cold enough to break out the wool coat. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is stressing about over or underdressing, so, I thought a full edit of the best jackets, but specifically transitional jackets, out there on the internet right now would help some of you who may be feeling the same. Here we go!
DENIM: I’m not here to tell you what you should and shouldn’t have in your closet (how you dress depends on your lifestyle, where you live, and what you’re most comfortable in), but personally I’ve always loved a classic denim jacket. I find it’s a great layering piece and there are so many different styles out there now, which makes it fun to play around with.

TRENCH: A trench coat (and a great bag) is the perfect way to elevate any outfit. There’s a reason trenches have withstood the test of time — they’re chic and easy (plus not much has changed about them over the years). Sure, you can go with the iconic Burberry trench, but there are also so many trench options available on The Real Real (Jil Sander, Dior, Tibi, Burberry) at pretty affordable price points. So if you’re looking to invest, I would start there! Otherwise, I’m also a big fan of Skall Studio and Aligne. Both have great options.

LEATHER: There are so many different styles of leather jackets out there and they all lend themselves to different vibes. I’m really drawn to a boxy, cropped fit right now with buttons or a zipper.
